Nesbits continue to operate under strict RICS updated Rules of Conduct

Have you ever wondered what it means to be a member of RICS? Read about how Nesbits adhere to the highest professional standards as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and what this means for you…

From 2nd February 2022, RICS are updating their rules of conduct. The RICS Rules of Conduct are changing to ensure industry professionals respond to market trends in a challenging and evolving market. In an unpredictable economic climate, it has never been more important to operate with due diligence and integrity to ensure a business can weather the storm.

Nesbits has been a member of RICS for over 50 years and take pride in providing a service that is build upon the RICS core principles of honesty, integrity, competence, service, respect and responsiblity. We are proud to still be operating after 100 years and put this down to embracing these principles in everything we do including the relationships we build with our customers.

So, what is the aim of RICS and how does this benefit you?

RICS' main roles are to advance the highest ethical and technical standards for professionals in land, property and the building environment. Also, to protect and provide benefits to consumers by enforcing standards and codes of best practice. They also provide expert impartial advice to governments, business and the public.

This professional code of conduct means as a consumer you are not only protected but also that you can be rest assured you are dealing with a reputable company. One that you can trust to deal with your property.

In a competitive housing market swamped with Estate Agents, it is advisable to check out a company’s credentials before you proceed with any property transaction. Not all agents are required to follow such professional standards hence why the industry can often fall foul to criticism.

Nesbits are looking forward to what 2022 has in store and will continue to proudly provide a quality service under the revised RICS code of practice. If you are looking for a property specialist, get in touch with our team today for an initial discussion.
