How to make a bid
Guides are supplied as an indication only of each seller’s minimum expectations, not necessarily the sum at which a particular lot will sell. They may be subject to change at any point prior to the Auction day.
Each lot will be offered subject to a reserve (the sum below which a sale will not take place under the hammer), which we expect to be set within any given bracket guide, or within 10% of a single figure guide.
There are several ways you can bid on Auction properties, please refer to our catalogue for detailed information.
In person at the Auction Venue
Once you have viewed a property, taken legal advice and have finance in place, you are now in a position to bid – if your bid is successful, at the end of the Sale you will be asked to pay your deposit of 10% and sign contracts, when this has taken place you would have ‘Exchanged’ and completion is usually 28 days after the Sale date. (Please note an administration fee of £450.00 plus Vat ,per lot, will be payable by separate cheque)
To comply with the recent change to Money Laundering Regulations you will need to pre-register with
D M Nesbit & Co. prior to the sale.
You will require the following information on the day:
Solicitors/Conveyancer details – Legal paperwork will be despatched to them after the sale.
Proof of your Identity and address – to comply with Money Laundering Regulations.
Deposit and Adminstration fee – Can only be paid by personal cheque or Banker’s draft. Please note cash, debit or credit cards cannot be accepted.
