How to make a bidThere are several ways you can bid on Auction properties, please refer to our catalogue for detailed information. In person at the Auction Venue Once you have viewed a property, taken legal advice and have finance in place, you are now in a position to bid - if your bid is successful, at the end of the Sale you will be asked to pay your deposit of 10% and sign contracts, when this has taken place you would have ‘Exchanged’ and completion is usually 28 days after the Sale date. (Please note an administration fee of £350.00 plus Vat ,per lot, will be payable by separate cheque) You will need the following information on the day: Solicitors/Conveyancer details - Legal paperwork will be despatched to them after the sale.
Proof of your Identity and address - to comply with Money Laundering Regulations. Deposit and Adminstration fee– Can only be paid by personal cheque or Banker’s draft. Please note cash, debit or credit cards cannot be accepted.
Telephone and proxy bidding
We are willing to exercise bids on behalf of purchasers unable to attend the Sale.
II. A cheque representing 10% of the maximum bid made payable to D.M.Nesbit & Company must accompany the application, along with the administration fee. If successful, the bidder/purchaser will be required to provide all necessary identification to comply with Money Laundering Regulations. III. Telephone or proxy bidding will only be acceptable for the actual potential purchaser. IV. The completed form must be received by D.M.Nesbit & Company not later than 11am on the day prior to the Sale. V. Any bid will be executed by the auctioneers up to, and not exceeding, the maximum bid, and the bid will not be disclosed to the vendor or any other parties.
VI. If the bid is successful, then that bid will be binding on the purchaser and the auctioneer is authorised to sign the contracts on behalf of the buyer.
VII. D.M.Nesbit & Company accept no liability whatsoever for the failure to execute any bid for whatever reason. All persons leaving bids will be informed, and if unsuccessful deposit & administration cheques will be returned by post. |
